Nexus, the Passenger Transport Executive for Tyne and Wear who own and operate the Tyne and Wear rapid transport system established a partnership for the redevelopment of the Haymarket Metro Station to create a new 21st Century landmark building 'The Hub'.

The Haymarket Hub is set to rejunvenate this historical northern gateway into Newcastle City Centre. The exciting design of the 'Metro Station' space will give rise to new leisure, commercial and retail opportunities and re-emphasise this area's importance to the city centre of Newcastle. Working in partnership  with Tolent, Devlin Interiors carried out works including metal stud partitions, suspended ceilings, cavity fire barriers, insulated soffit lining, taping and filling and plastering works.
