Devlin Interiors were awarded the contract to renovate Sunderland's Jupiter Centre, located within the Business and Innovation Centre on the banks of the River Wear. The whole project consisted of the removal of the roof of the existing single storey building, and the construction of a new first floor. Devlin Interiors were contracted to install Ayrshire Metal framing to the external elevations which involved complex detailing to form the "floating" walls. From there we proceeded with the internal fit-out of the new first floor, including suspended ceilings, partitions, bulkheads and Komfort Screens. We also fully refurbished the ground floor offices through the installation of drylining to all walls, as well as new suspended lay-in ceilings and concealed grid ceilings.
Devlin Interiors Ltd recently undertook the fit-out works on UK Land's new offices at Gateshead's Team Valley Trading Estate. The fit-out consisted of the installation of metal stud partitions, joinery works including the installation of bespoke cherry doors and skirtings and the installation of Tenon Vitrage glazed screens throughout the offices.
Working in conjunction with Dutch company Pellikaan Construction, Devlin Interiors spent 6 months working on the construction of a new 25m swimming pool, along with the refurbishment of the existing indoor Tennis Centre. Through the installation of suspended ceilings, metal stud partitions, fire protection and a mezzanine floor, both the new and old structures were transformed into modern, aesthetic buildings whilst adhering to the standards required to cope with the harsh atmosphere of a swimming pool.
Melbourne Street - Refurbishment of Former Night Club:
Devlin Interiors carried out a full refurbishment works of the former Foundation night club. The project included the installation of wall linings and MF suspended ceilings integrated with lay-in grid that formed access points for Mechanical and Engineering Services. The project also required the installation of feature ceilings to the entrance way and mezzanine floors, enhancing a glazed atrium. The overall project led to the creation of high-quality executive offices overlooking the River Tyne.
